Melanie Clarke
Melanie has consulted as a podiatrist in Adelaide Arcade for over 20 years. Melanie believes in providing the very best service and treatment and has always worked in conjunction with a number of other health professionals in order to achieve the best outcome for her clients. Her caring nature and dedication to her clients is well respected within podiatry.
Melanie has a strong affiliation with the University of SA both in her work as a clinical supervisor and her involvement with the podiatry clinical placement program. Melanie’s passion and interest encompasses all general practice podiatry including biomechanics, orthotic therapy, routine foot care, paediatrics and nail surgery.
Liz Rhodes
Liz has been associated with Heal Podiatry for a whole decade. Her journey began initially at Heal as a final year Podiatry student where her exceptional communication skills and care of our clients could not go un-noticed. After spending her early years as a podiatrist at Whyalla Hospital, Liz returned to the Adelaide Arcade to establish her career in private practice.
Liz has a keen interest in Netball, having participated and umpired for over 20 years. Her umpiring led her into the AFL where she works the fast paced (and freezing) interchange bench during Port or Crows matches at Adelaide Oval.
Liz has developed a strong belief in the importance of health education and holistic care. Liz has an interest in all aspects of podiatry including general nail and foot care, biomechanical evaluations, orthotic therapy, diabetes foot assessments, ingrown toe nail conservative and surgical management and paediatrics. Liz is also experienced in wart treatment using SWIFT microwave therapy.
Sean Murphy
Sean graduated from the University of South Australia in 1991 and commenced practice at Repatriation General Hospital. After his initial training in a hospital setting, Sean opened his first private practice in Victor Harbor. Sean, who in his 30 year career as a podiatrist, has trained and mentored a significant number of podiatrists all over SA and interstate and is now permanently based in Adelaide Arcade.
Sean’s interest in a podiatry career stemmed from his own foot and ankle injuries relating to high level soccer in his teenage years. Exposure to a podiatrist who helped with his rehabilitation and recovery sparked an interest that would see Sean develop a passion for helping people achieve their mobility and activity goals.
Sean has worked as a guest lecturer at the Uni of SA and is currently involved in the clinical placement program. Sean is a board member of Sports Medicine Australia SA and has previously been an education committee member at SASMA.
Sean’s interest is in clinical biomechanics, musculoskeletal screening and injury prevention. He has worked with elite athletes at the highest level in many sports and was the podiatrist for the Adelaide Crows from 2007-2016.
Georgia Bourlotos
Georgia graduated from the University of South Australia in 2018 and has been a part of the Heal Podiatry team for the past 2 years. She has a combined work life where she shares her time outside of Podiatry consulting as a Pilates instructor and studying neuroscience at Flinders University.
Georgia has a keen interest in all sport, particularly soccer having played for 10 years. She has also been known to try her hand at surfing and most recently, bouldering.
Through Georgia’s combined knowledge in podiatry, Pilates, neuroscience and her sporting background and interest in movement, she has developed a strong passion for injury prevention and management, patient education and overall foot and health care.
Georgia has a particular interest in nail management and Ingrown toenail surgery.
